Live blogs, which provide chronological updates to an event, are becoming an increasingly common feature on news sites. These live blogs are largely a reaction to the bite-sized chunks of information popularized by social media. Live blogs tend to have 233 percent more readership than traditional articles. However, readers have said they are less likely to share a live blog than other types of articles. This indicated that there is still a want or desire to read a summary or commentary on a news event.
