Seriously Rapid Source Review is a human centered approach identifying interesting and reliable sources. This techniques allows journalists to find (search, sort, filter) and assess users that can serve as potential sources of information. First they are sorted into three categories: journalist/blogger, organization, or “ordinary” person. Next the top locations of the user’s contacts; this shows if the user has a personal tie or connection to the event in question. The top five entities the user has mentioned are also listed. Finally, there is an indication if the user was an eyewitness to the event. From this information, journalists can make a determination if the source is valuable to their story.
