As journalist themselves have increasingly become their own brand, there is increased pressure for journalists to be active in social media 24/7. With journalists’ becoming part of a corporate brand, editors and managers may pressure journalists to be active social media users. This in turn has blurred the line between private and professional and is putting professional values to the test. Especially on journalists who are not so interested in embracing the social media life.
