Audience appeal is a huge factor in the social media marketing game. If you only appeal to one type of person, you’re only going to sell to one type of person. If Nike only advertised their basketball shoes, they would have never sold anything to me! The photo above is a screenshot of a recent Nike commercial advertising their recent release of sports wear hijabs for Muslim women. Nike does a very good job of advertising using all different sports, styles, and cultures. Their ability to see through any race, religion, or nationality and get down to the commonality they see in all people (the love for all different sports) allows them to sell to the most diverse crowd.
